Can permanent residents and NZ citizens apply for a job with ASIC?
To be eligible to apply for a job with ASIC, you must be an Australian citizen.
How often are jobs advertised?
New jobs are advertised on the ASIC Careers site each Thursday.
What time do applications close?
Applications close at 11.59 pm on the date that applications close.
Do I need to complete a 'Statement of Claims' against the selection criteria?
You are not required to submit a 'Statement of Claims' or supporting document that separately addresses the selection criteria (unless specified). We ask that you submit a cover letter (1 page) and reflect the selection criteria - highlighting your skills, previous experience and achievements - in your CV (4-5 pages).
If I apply for a position of lawyer, will I be considered for all legal positions?
We ask that you apply separately for all the roles you would like to be considered for, particularly if they're at different classification levels.
I'd like to apply for job in a different state to where I currently live. Will ASIC assist with relocation costs?
Relocation costs will not be covered by ASIC should you chose to apply for a job in another state.
After submitting my application, when will I hear from the Recruitment team?
Each advertised role has an 'Application Closing Date'. After that date, ASIC will review all the applications and prepare a shortlist. The shortlisting process may take up to 10 working days to complete after the closing date. We understand that you are keen hear from us and we ask for your patience as we review the applications. We will keep you informed if the process is delayed.
What are ASIC's salary scales?
ASIC's Enterprise Agreement details our salary scales. The Position Description will indicate the 'Classification' relevant for the advertised job.
I've been offered a role and have questions on the security clearance document. Who should I contact?
