- Offering from $65,406 to $74,974 (depending on experience) plus up to 15.4% superannuation

Your legal, business and analytical skills will play an important role in exercising ASIC's functions and powers under Ch. 5A of the Corporations Act 2001. You will manage a high volume of matters, including the assessment of simple applications to deal with deregistered company property and the provision of advice to stakeholders as to the appropriate remedies available. You could also be drafting legal documents, including court documents.
You will directly assist the Chief Legal Office's Property Law Group by:
- Assessing various types of simple applications (e.g. transfers of property and discharges of mortgages)
- Preparing submissions to the Property Law Delegate
- Responding to enquiries from parties affected by a company's deregistration.
We seek an individual who has solid experience in all areas of the law, particularly property law and resilience to handle high volume. The successful individual will possess ability to interpret and apply legislation administered by ASIC. Tertiary qualifications in law and/or business from a recognised educational/accredited institution are highly desirable.
