ASIC is seeking an Information Analyst – Intelligence Support
Salary from $66,714 to $70,208 (depending on experience) plus up to 15.4% superannuation
Non-ongoing 12-month contract based in Sydney or Melbourne CBD

The Information Resource Centre (IRC) provides services that contribute to the gathering, management and storage of information and records in ASIC. The IRC consists of Intelligence Support, Library & Research Services, and Information & Records Management. Intelligence Support is responsible for gathering intelligence information using authorised searches on data systems managed by external agencies to support enforcement and regulatory activities.
As an Information Analyst, you will be required to:
Deliver tactical intelligence information to ASIC's enforcement and regulatory teams in accordance with national policies and procedures, and privacy requirements.
Conduct complex, national searches across the full range of IRC's intelligence sources.
Evaluate information, manipulate and analyse retrieved data to prepare meaningful and highly accurate response summaries.
Liaise with external agencies to obtain confidential information in line with agreements and Memorandums of Understandings (MoUs) in place.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to establish requirements and service level expectations, and to provide guidance in relation to handling the sensitive information collected.
Tertiary qualifications in information management or legal studies, or equivalent relevant work experience highly regarded.
Data and compliance driven
Advanced capability to manage a high-volume workload, with significant competing demands
Experience undertaking searches on databases and managing the capture of information gained in a legal services, accounting, financial services environment or government agency.
Experience researching, analysing and interpreting complex information on databases and software applications to process and report information to stakeholders.
Experience interpreting and applying legislation, procedural manuals and guidelines.
