- Salary from $152,074 - $170,621 (depending upon experience) + 15.4% super

The team
The Information Technology (IT) unit is responsible for the supply of technology solutions and services to ASIC, internally and externally. Infrastructure Services supports ASIC's production IT and Cloud First and Digital Workplace strategies, spanning cloud hosting, infrastructure design, service, security and identity management, end-user digital workplace platforms, and the IT Service Desk.
The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Identity and Access Management (IDAM) specialist who will lead a team, implement strategy and support ASIC's Identity and Access Management systems and solutions. This role will provide leadership across the Identity stream. Ideally you will be able to work in a hybrid working environment to enable face to face connection with the team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading contributions across IAM platforms including working closely with Cyber and Infrastructure initiatives, developing and mentoring other IAM engineers to the strategy for IAM modernisation.
- Working closely with Business and other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of identity management solutions.
- Inputting into design and implementing identity management solutions, including user provisioning, authentication, and access control.
- Developing and enforcing access policies and procedures to ensure that only authorized individuals have access to sensitive data and systems.
- Integrating identity management solutions with various applications and systems to streamline access and enhance security.
- Ensuring security compliance with industry standards and regulations related to identity and access management.
- Monitoring and responding to security incidents related to identity management and access control.
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation of identity management processes, policies, and configurations.
- Maintaining lifecycle management of Identity and Access solutions to required ISM standards.
- Conforming to ASICs ITIL processes such as incident and change management.
- Outside hours: This position may be required to work outside of hours to support critical operational changes, incidents, and project implementation as appropriate.
About you
Previous experience in Identity and Access Management space preferred, however applications from candidates ready to take their first step into leadership, developing capability and building operational skills are welcome. Other experience will preferably include:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT or related field
- 7+ years' experience managing IAM solutions, including Oracle IAM, SailPoint, OKTA, Auth0 and Entra ID
- Experience with Radiator and Microsoft Network Policy Server
- Strong knowledge of IAM principles, access governance and role‑based access control
- Solid understanding of authentication standards and technologies, including Microsoft Entra ID
- Extensive experience with IAM technologies such as SSO, MFA, privileged access/identity management
