  • ASIC is seeking a full-time Senior Risk Partner to join their Chief Risk Office – Risk Partnering and Assurance Team
  • Salary starting from $111,020 (plus 15.4% superannuation) depending on experience
  • Temporary (9 months) position based in Melbourne

The team 

The Risk Partnering and Assurance team within the CRO provide critical oversight and analysis of the risk framework across the organisation. Its function is embedding and enhancing the risk operating model and enterprise risk framework; monitoring and testing assigned business units against risk framework requirements and advising business unit management on good risk practice.

 

The role 

  • Monitor, manage and continually improve ASIC's risk operating model and enterprise risk framework.
  • Provide guidance to assigned business units on good risk practice and framework requirements.
  • Provide CRO Team, committees and stakeholders with risk insights.
  • Oversight of business unit risk profile and risk environment.
  • Oversight of risk maturity for assigned business units.
  • Conduct risk reviews as directed.
  • Business unit risk reporting and communication at CRO Level, including KRI reporting.
  • Provide input into ongoing development of CRO Team artefacts, including training material.
  • Provide risk coaching and training as required.
  • Oversight of key projects.
  • Contribute to Commission and Executive level papers

 

About you

  • Demonstrated experience in a second line risk management/risk consulting role in a government agency or regulated entity
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to navigate, modify and improve enterprise risk frameworks and supporting frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders to enhance risk capability within the organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse risk issues and incidents and produce reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and recommend appropriate changes to internal and external policies.
