  • ASIC is seeking a full-time Prosecution Administration Assistant to join their Small Business Engagement & Compliance Team
  • Temporary, 12 month position based in Adelaide
  • Salary from $55,543 (plus 15.4% superannuation) depending on experience

The team 

The Small Business Engagement & Compliance team is responsible for promoting ASIC's vision for small business through engaging, assisting and helping to protect small business in Australia. The role of the team is to conduct engagements, assessments and regulatory action (including compliance, surveillance, investigation and summary prosecution work) on reports of misconduct and breach notifications within the small business sector, including lenders and providers of consumer credit broking services. The team also raises awareness of compliance obligations and conducts surveillances to identify breaches of the legislation.


The role 

  • Provide strong administration support services.
  • Assess, prepare and assist in the prosecution of summary regulatory offences and civil applications.
  • Receive, assess and respond to reports of misconduct.
  • Assist with preparation of criminal briefs of evidence and civil applications.
  • Have a very strong ability to communicate with insolvency practitioners, witnesses and the general public regarding criminal, civil and compliance actions.
  • Accurately record actions / results in ASIC databases and maintain key efficiencies.
  • Take instruction from senior staff about the delivery of regulatory outcomes.


About you

  • A high school / secondary education certificate or diploma.
  • Qualifications in business or law are desirable.
  • Previous customer service and office administration experience.
  • Experience in following procedures and defined processes accurately and in a timely manner.
