The team 

The Digital, Data & Technology Group is responsible for delivering transformational change across ASIC through investment in people, processes, and technology. Bringing together our people, digital, data and technology teams supported by our enterprise program office, this group delivers transformational change while supporting our core technology environments and our people. Our Registry Interactions Services team and the Modernising Business Registers teams also form part of this portfolio. The Information Technology team forms part of the Transformation Office, Digital, Data & Technology which is accountable for driving ASIC's transformation agenda, including the use of digital and data products as well as providing the technology platforms.

 

The role

As an Oracle Infrastructure Engineer, you will be required to:

  • Perform daily monitoring, platform health checks and incident resolution.
  • Monitor Oracle Systems and Databases to identify potential vulnerabilities.
  • Hardening the Oracle Infrastructure including Oracle WebLogic, Identity and Access Management Solutions, and Database Systems.
  • Upgrade and patch Oracle Products to maintain software currency.
  • Work with vendors to apply patches and hardening configurations.
  • Work with other Infrastructure teams, Cyber Security, and Application teams to keep systems secure.
  • Develop Monthly Security Posture Reports on Oracle Systems.
  • Participate in Security Audits and mitigate any risks.
  • Participate and support projects related to IT infrastructure and Cloud migrations.
  • This position may be required to work outside of hours to support critical operational changes, incidents, and project implementation as appropriate. 

 

About you 

  • Bachelor's degree or tertiary qualifications in IT or technology-related studies is desirable.
  • 5+ years of experience in administering Oracle systems including WebLogic, Database, and Identity and Access Management.
  • Solid understanding of Oracle Products and security patching.
  • Solid Experience with Windows and Linux Operating systems.
  • Solid experience in Shell scripting and PowerShell.
  • Experience with Automation tools like Puppet Enterprise is a plus.
  • Experience with Azure and AWS Cloud Technologies.
  • Understanding of Vulnerability Management process and frameworks.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, in a team structure, and independently.
