The team 

 

The Supervisory Cyber and Operational Resilience Centre (SCORC) has been created to support ASIC's regulatory business to build cyber and operational resilience capabilities and to provide leadership and expertise as we assess the resilience of our regulated entities. 

 

The role             

 

As a Supervisory Cyber Analyst, you will shape and execute the work program for the Supervisory Cyber and Operational Resilience Centre (SCORC), including developing a communications strategy, managing internal reporting, and overseeing project management. You will work closely with subject matter experts to create supervisory approaches for evaluating the cyber and operational resilience of regulated entities, crafting key messages, and delivering communications related to ASIC's supervisory cyber program. Additionally, you will coordinate and track cyber incidents reported to ASIC and participate in the response to these incidents, following the Supervisory Cyber Incident Response Plan or other broader government responses.

You will also take charge of planning, communications, and reporting for ASIC's high-profile Cyber Consultative Panel, and play a key leadership role in delivering the Cyber Pulse Survey, a crucial tool for working with the industry to enhance cyber resilience. Your responsibilities will also include leveraging and enhancing existing ASIC systems and tools to support the delivery of the strategy and roadmap, as well as developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, regulators, and industry.

 

 

You will be accountable for

 

  • Contributing to the strategy and execution of the work program for the SCORC, including the communications strategy, internal reporting, and project management.
  • Supporting ASIC staff by working closely with subject matter experts.
  • Contributing to the development of key messages and delivery of communications pertaining to ASIC's supervisory cyber program.
  • Coordinating and tracking cyber incidents notified to ASIC and participate in ASIC's response to cyber incidents impacting our regulated entities.
  • Owning the planning, communications and reporting for ASIC's high-profile Cyber Consultative Panel.
  • Playing a key leadership role in delivering ASIC's Cyber Pulse Survey, a critical tool that helps ASIC work together with industry to uplift cyber resilience.
  • Developing relationships with internal stakeholders to support the delivery of cyber priorities relating to their regulated populations.
  • Engaging with external stakeholders including government agencies, regulators and industry.

 

About you

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in a field such as law, economics, information technology, with cyber or information security qualifications being highly regarded.
  • Experience working with advanced data analytics, complex IT systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, coupled with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to hold others accountable for their part in complex initiatives with many participants, together with strong project management and reporting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and drive effective and innovative responses and solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply different technologies to gather information and process evidence efficiently and effectively.
