Our Graduate Program is designed to build the skills and experience you need to start a successful career at ASIC.
ASIC's graduate program includes:
- 12-month structured program, with four-month rotations

Interesting and challenging work
As a graduate, you will be involved in meaningful work which may include surveillances, investigations, analysing intelligence, data analytics, consumer research or even undertake major technology projects that will transform our business.
Graduate fundraising project
Graduates will work together on the Graduate Fundraising Project to raise money for their chosen charity partner throughout the program. In 2025, our gradates raised over $10,000 for the KYUP! Project.
Professional development and study assistance
You will feel supported and valued. As a graduate, you will have access to professional development workshops and ASIC's study assistance from day one. If you're within our Legal stream, we'll support you to complete your practical legal training and admission to the legal profession.

Networking with senior management and access to graduate alumni network
You will be assigned a graduate buddy prior to commencement on the program and will be your buddy throughout the program. You will also have the opportunity to network with Commissioners, senior management and have access to our graduate alumni network.
Graduate streams
As part of the graduate program, you may rotate through some of these areas:
- Contribute to investigations, surveillance activities and regulatory responses to address misconduct and emerging risks
- Assess applications, reports and other regulatory matters, applying legislation, policy and regulatory frameworks to support decision-making
- Analyse information, data and evidence to identify issues, assess risk and inform regulatory outcomes
- Contribute to policy development, law reform and regulatory initiatives that support ASIC’s strategic priorities
- Engage with applicants, regulated entities, government agencies and other stakeholders to support effective regulatory outcomes
- Support projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance ASIC’s regulatory effectiveness and service delivery
- Work on complex legal matters and contribute to legal proceedings that support ASIC’s regulatory and enforcement activities
- Conduct legal research, analyse legislation and assist in applying the law to complex regulatory issues
- Gather, review and analyse documents, evidence and information to support legal advice, investigations and decision-making
- Support the preparation of legal advice, court documents, briefs and other materials for litigation and regulatory matters
- Engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including legal counsel, government agencies, experts and industry participants
- Contribute to policy development, law reform and regulatory initiatives, while gaining exposure to financial regulation and Australia’s financial markets
- Use data and technology to support regulatory decisions, identify emerging risks and deliver better outcomes for consumers and markets
- Analyse and interpret data to identify trends, generate insights and support evidence-based decision-making
- Contribute to the development and improvement of technology solutions, systems, reporting and data capabilities
- Support cyber security, technology risk and digital resilience activities across ASIC’s technology environment
- Support and maintain critical technology services and platforms that enable ASIC’s people and regulatory functions
- Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver innovative, data-driven solutions
- Contribute to projects and initiatives that support automation, innovation, continuous improvement and emerging technologies
- Contribute to projects and initiatives that support ASIC’s people, operations and strategic priorities
- Analyse information and data to support reporting, planning, decision-making and organisational performance
- Support business functions such as people and culture, communications, finance and corporate services
- Work with stakeholders across ASIC to deliver services, solve business challenges and improve organisational outcomes
- Contribute to policy, risk, compliance and governance activities that support ASIC’s effective operation
- Support projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance systems, processes and ways of working
- Separate to the graduate program, this is specific to those who are currently enrolled in their University degrees'
